AIS shows the commercial vessels and other equipped craft around you. On the main routes, knowing that a convoy is coming the other way before you enter a bend or pass under a bridge changes everything.

From your App Store or Google Play account settings, like any subscription. Access stays active until the end of the current period.

The route and the basic information for your saved itineraries remain available offline. Today’s conditions, AIS and live navigation require a connection, even an intermittent one.

Your location is used to show your progress and to trigger proximity alerts. It is not resold. You can turn off background navigation at any time in the settings.
